At Least Two Drones Shot Down Over Area Housing Putin's Residence

Drone Attacks Mark Latest in Series of Incidents

A senior Russian politician said three drones shot down over Moscow on Tuesday had been downed over the Russian capital's exclusive Rublyovka suburb, where President Vladimir Putin has an official home.

Alexander Khinshtein, a prominent member of Russia's parliament from the ruling United Russia bloc, said the drones had been downed over three Rublyovka villages, including Ilyinskoye, a village around two and a half miles from Putin's Novo-Ogaryovo state residence.

Khinshtein said one of the drones had been shot down over the village of Vnukovo, which is also home to a military airfield.

The drone attacks marked the latest in a series of incidents involving drones in Russia in recent months.

In April, a drone crashed near a gas distribution station in the Moscow region, causing a fire.

And in March, a drone was shot down near the headquarters of Russia's Black Sea Fleet in Sevastopol, Crimea.

It is not clear who is responsible for the drone attacks, but they have raised concerns about the security of Moscow and other Russian cities.
