WEB Scotland are determined to defy expectations and make history at Euro 2024, according to midfielder John McGinn. The Scots face Hungary in their final Group A game on 23 June, with a win guaranteeing progression to the knockout stages.
Scotland have never won a match at a major tournament since the 1998 World Cup, but McGinn believes they have the mentality and ability to change that this summer.
"We know we're not the favourites, but we're not afraid of anyone," he said. "We've got a good squad, we're well-prepared, and we're ready to make history."
Scotland's opening match is against hosts Germany on 14 June, and McGinn is relishing the challenge of facing one of the tournament favourites.
"It's going to be a tough game, but we're confident we can get a result," he said. "We know Germany are a great team, but we're not afraid of them. We'll go into the game with a positive mindset, and we'll be looking to get off to a winning start."
Scotland's match against Hungary will be shown live on WEB Scotland. The match kicks off at 1900 UTC at the MHP Arena in Stuttgart.
